The quick check
Dial *#06#. If the screen shows an EID as well as an IMEI, your phone has an eSIM.
Apple
iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and every iPhone since, plus iPhone SE (2020 and later). US iPhone 14 and later models are eSIM-only.
Pixel 3 and later (Pixel 3 needs the carrier to support it), Pixel 4 and later without qualification.
Samsung
Galaxy S20 and later, Z Flip and Z Fold, Note 20, and most A-series models from A54 onwards.
Others
Many recent Motorola, Oppo, Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi and Nothing models. Check with *#06# — it is faster than any list.
The other requirement
The phone must be carrier-unlocked. A phone bought on contract and still locked will refuse the profile even if it has an eSIM. Your carrier can unlock it, usually free once the contract is paid.
